Day Camp

It is a wonderful opportunity for girls to have fun, make new friends and try new things.

If you would like to volunteer to help plan Day Camp for the girls in your community, call the New Berlin Service Center at 262/544-8777 or 800/565-GIRL (4475) or e-mail Lori Kasun.

We need your financial support for girls who may not be able to afford camp and for resources and program supplies used at camp.

$80 WILL…Provide one girl who otherwise could not afford to the chance to go to Girl Scout Day Camp.

$50 WILL…Outfit two girls with life vests and canoe paddles so they can try canoeing.

$38 WILL…Equip campers with 12 new arrows for archery so girls can hit their first bull's-eyes.

$25 WILL…Help two girls explore the nature around them with a butterfly catcher, magnifying glass and identification book.

$15 WILL…Provide all the fixings for perfect s’mores to an entire unit of campers.

Did you know that:

  • Day Camp is run entirely by volunteers from your community.
  • Each community (service unit) has its own week of day camp.
  • To keep camp affordable, troops must provide parent and adult volunteers.
  • In addition to working with the girls in the unit, volunteers are also needed to help run the kitchen and to work with girls in nature, crafts, songs and games. They are also needed for boy and peewee units. All volunteers are given training appropriate to their assignment.
