Each troop belongs to one of 17 geographic service units in our council. Your daughter will develop many new friendships and skills as she participates in troop, service unit and council-wide events throughout the year. GIRL SCOUTING HELPS YOUR DAUGHTER ACQUIRE TOOLS FOR SUCCESS IN LIFE

For more than 90 years, Girl Scouts have been discovering the fun, the friendship and the power of girls together as they develop into young women with strong values, self-confidence and important life skills.

Developing to her full potential
In an all-girl environment, Girl Scouts take center stage and don’t get lost on the sidelines. Led by trained, supportive adult volunteers, girls learn leadership, goal-setting and decision-making skills.

Relating to others with increasing understanding, respect and skill
Girl Scouts become competent, resourceful leaders and team players. They also learn to appreciate and value the richness of diversity.

Developing values
Girl Scouts develop values to guide their actions and to deal positively with life’s challenges.

Contributing to society
Girl Scouts develop a sense of social responsibility and a commitment to help others as they prepare to become active citizens and future leaders.

THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES

Most girls become Girl Scouts at a young age. Daisy and Brownie
Girl Scouts enjoy the fun of earning petals and Try-its and learning how great it is to be with just the girls. However, as girls progress to the Junior, Cadette and Senior levels, the adventures become more exciting. These girls may earn advanced awards, travel to exciting, maybe even exotic locations, and chart the course for their troop or group. As your daughter moves through the various levels of Girl Scouting, take the time to explore what lies ahead.
